ABOUT
Connor Pritchard is an award-winning director from Aotearoa, New Zealand, currently emerging as one of the most exciting new voices across Australia and New Zealand. Recently named Emerging Director of the Year at both the 2025 AXIS Awards in New Zealand and the 2025 AWARD Awards in Australia, Connor has quickly become recognised for his ability to bring authentic subculture, music-driven energy and premium commercial storytelling into the same frame.

His work sits at the intersection of raw instinct and refined craft. Connor’s career began in the DIY world of music videos, where he built his name through relentless hustle, self-taught filmmaking and collaborations with artists across New Zealand and the global underground scene. That foundation gave him a deep understanding of youth culture, street culture, music and the visual language that actually connects with today’s audience.
Since 2023, Connor has translated that energy into a more sophisticated commercial practice, directing standout work for brands including Seasol, Betcha, Canterbury, Adidas, HBO, and Health NZ. His films are known for inventive camera language, bold visual concepts, offbeat humour and a strong sense of cultural truth. Whether working with artists, real people, athletes or actors, Connor brings a style that feels alive, current and unmistakably his own.

Connor does not simply borrow from the zeitgeist. He has spent years helping shape it. From music videos and youth culture to polished brand campaigns, his work reflects a new generation of filmmaking across the Tasman: cinematic, strange, funny, emotionally tuned-in and deeply connected to the worlds people are actually living in.
